Questions, Out Of The Bag
What are HoldOn bags made from?
HoldOn bags are made with plant-based & compostable materials. PLA increases strength, Cornstarch (non-GMO) helps the bags to break down in a compost setting, PBAT expedites the process & Calcium Carbonate slows down moisture absorption (13g only).
What testing and certifications does HoldOn Bags have?
HoldOn bags are TUV OK Home Compost certified (with the exception of our 13g bags) & all HoldOn bags are certified by BPI (Biodegradable Products Institute) under the ASTM D6400 standards for industrial composting. HoldOn is also a Certified B Corp.
Do I need to compost HoldOn bags?
HoldOn bags are designed to reduce traditional plastic waste, no matter how you take out the trash. If you want to compost your bags, use an industrial compost service (where available) or compost them at home (for home compostable certified bags).
Are HoldOn bags nontoxic?
HoldOn is proud to use food-safe materials that are made without harmful toxins like BPA or PFOA. Additionally, HoldOn bags do not undergo fluorination at any stage in development or production, and are both BPS & BSE certified free.
How should I store my HoldOn bags?
For optimal strength and performance, HoldOn recommends storing your bags in a cool, dry area away from heat and places that could allow for moisture build-up. HoldOn also recommends using your bags within 6 ~ 9 months of purchase.
What is your return policy?
HoldOn offers a hassle-free return policy within 60 days from the delivery date for a full refund to your original form of payment. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, send HoldOn an email tohello@holdonbags.com.
